Everything thats green will be the same color when you change the colors, same with blue and red. Those will not be the final colors however, don't worry. Here are the HTML notations for those colors. You only need to fill in the sections you want to show up. Now fill in the "sections" of the picture. Open up a new gimp window by choosing "File>Create>From Clipboard" Right click it again and choose "Merge Down" In the layers menu right click on it and choose "New Layer." When you paste the image, it will be shown as a floating section.
Paste the image you want onto the 512 X 512 thing. I will make a tutorial for colored tattoos later. Make sure the background is set on white. Open up gimp and make a new 512 X 512 image.

You won't be able to open them, so you will have to go to your downloads folder after you download them and move them into the folder I mentioned above. If you think I can't re-distribute it please go to her about me that I linked with her name. Here is a link to the page to where the tattoinator is from. I would suggest putting it on your desktop. MAKE SURE to put both of them together in a file name "Tattooinator".

If you don't have a Mod The Sims account you can download the two files below. Make sure to get the version if you want them compatible with the base game and Ambitions. If you're having this problem, trying use the collective file, or deleting your cache. All of these things are free and safe to download.įirst you need that tattoinator so you can put the tattoos in game.
Since then, they've been working smoothly for me. I haven't had a single problem so far other than an initial stick with one tattoo (when I had all the individual files instead of the one collective file) and that was resolved after I reloaded the game with the collective. I have no idea what the problem could be, to be honest. ***I've been told that sometimes that these tattoos "stick" and won't resize, layer, etc. And, now, looking at these images I realize I pictured one row twice, and a tribal Maxis one is in there. And for that one, I'm sorry but I forgot who made it. All of these tattoos were made from freeware images, except for one. Ignore the blurries in the last picture, but those are Maxis tattoos. Around 40 or so are labeled, though, so you could probably discern which are which. I'm sorry for that, but it really cut down on time for me to be able to batch save, and whatnot. Normally, I'd allow people to pick out what they don't want, and keep what they do want, however, I did most of these images in batch, so there was no descriptive way to label the majority of the tattoos, so they're just labeled tattoo001, etc. I hope someone can figure out a way to resize the tattoo-able area there. Tattoos on the shoulder looks horrible usually, but that's Maxis' fault. Not all of these look as good as others, but they're recolorable. Most of the tattoos that came with the game kind of suck to me, so I made quite a bit more. I have no way of knowing, though, because I have the Ambitions expansion pack, and these work for me. However, now that I think about it, I'm not sure if the tattoo I used to create all of these were included in the patch, or even if it matters.

I made about 98 or 99 tattoos for the new Ambitions EP, and presumably for the new game patch that added the tattoo element to base games. ***I'm not sure these work with just the patch. You need AMBITIONS! or the ***tattoo adding patch.
